ABOUT GARETH
Gareth moved to Sydney from the U.K in 2003. He grew up on the Isle of Mull in Scotland and in Cornwall in the south of England. His early life in these remote parts of the U.K instilled in him a sense of adventure and love for wild places.
He is an accomplished athlete having represented Scotland at rugby and having competed in the U.K National Athletic Championships. Since taking up Ultramarathon running in 2009 Gareth has completed a number of high profile endurance running events.The highlight of which was the Atacama Crossing, a 250km self supported foot race across the Atacama Desert, Chile - the driest desert on earth. In doing so he raised $8000 for National Breast Cancer Foundation. He is hoping to use his future races to raise as much money as possible for charity and is supporting the Australian Himalayan foundation in his upcoming race in the himalayas.
