2011 has started with a bang. Team Unleash has been tearing it up across the country, new relationships have been formed and there is a lot more that Unleash has in store for the coming months.
Tim Hookins headed over to Perth where he teamed up with Steve Randall to tackle the Doctor 2011. The guys raced individually in the Doctor on Saturday 22nd and then teamed up to do the relay on the Sunday. Tim had a blinder at the Doctor, while Steve fought the demons of an antihistamine prescribed by a chemist the evening before the race. Steve showed true spirit to complete the gruelling 27.5km race, while Tim showed great sportmanship by looking after his fellow paddler. We at Unleash just love it when these two paddlers go out and embrace their sport and never give up. The relay on the Sunday, was filled with mechanical drama, but once again the boy's did not give up. Take a look at both their race reports as they are well worth the read. James Kaan and Elisa Barton kicked off the 2011 athletes season with the Hunter Track Classic. James took out first place in the 800m. Elisa had a great race as she is in recovery from a hip injury and was happy that the hip held up well and she can now focus on the upcoming meets. Have a look at the guys profile to see their training reports and race updates. Jame's Profile Elisa's Profile

At the begining of the month Steve Randall and Tim Hookins from Team Unleash headed to South Africa to compete in the Fish Marathon. The guys had an amazing trip and an adventure filled race. Click on the Team Unleash Icon to read a great race review and view some spectacular photos of the boys in action.
Unleash was fortunate enough to get involved as a sponsor with the Andrew Boy Charlton Biathlon Series. It is an awesome event and we are very happy to be onboard and working close with Matt Anderson and his team from Anderson events. If you work in the city and are looking for a great time trial, then i urge get on down. Unleash is yet to put ourselves through our paces on the course, but it looks like we are going to be roped into it very soon. The vibe is great and you can not beat the views and location. We are at the event each week and have our compression range on display and for sale. Come on down and get involved.
Noel Annett from Team Unleash has been training his guts out for the GNW100's coming up in two weeks time. We are still in shock that Noel can maintain a career, wife, family and still get all the training in. His passion for running shows in his training and attitude. We are pumped to see how Noel goes doing the 100km on the Saturday 13th November. Click on the Training Log icon below to have a look at the training Noel has done to get myself prepared. It is a great insight into what is required to get prepared for such gruelling event.
Tim Hookins returned from South Africa and battling the mighty Fish River and instead of taking it easy and resting some tired and sore muscles. He competes in the Hawkesbury Classic. I will say nothing further. Click on the Race Report icon below to see how Tim went. I will say that this is exactly why We sponsor Tim!!
